Then the devil came

After he slaughtered our oppressors
Now so many years later

My people are victims again

Let him keep one of the slugs I use to feed

There’s a guy who blew his face off and it never really healed
There’s a dude who can find anyone who’s also very pale
There’s a werewolf king-slash-EVP with sharp and scary nails
There’s a kid they called a squid boy who was actually a fish
There’s a girl with lots of ghosts who give her luck of the Irish
There’s a guy whose looks could kill if he’s without his special specs
And I know more about each of them than about Adam-X
There’s a guy who can just disappear—vanish without a trace
And a green-haired lady who says that she’s half from outer space
There’s a creepy dude with tentacles who really smells like death
And a guy who can fly through the air propelled by his own breath
There’s a lady who’s a dragon who has also passed the bar
And a guy you couldn’t stop if he wanted to steal your car
And this one kid speaks all languages and all the dialects
And I know more about all of them than about Adam-X
I know he wears a backwards hat and that he’s very spikey
And somebody on twitter told me his blood burns like fire
I know that him returning isn’t really all that likely
And he’s not a Summers brother, despite Fabian’s desire
There’s a bunch of folk who have these knives come poking out their fists
And this one guy who can teleport through rotten-egg-smell mists
There’s a scoundrel who throws playing cards who’s really quite a rogue
There’s a skunk-haired girl who always “shugah”s up her dialogue
There’s a blue guy with enormous feet who hangs out in a lab
And a redhead who refuses to stay laid out on the slab
There’s a guy with two slug creatures who nobody respects
Yet I know way more about him than about Adam-X
I do not know much about Adam-X.
